'Fab India' Packaging Concept

Durga Puja is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in India, especially in West Bengal. It is a time of vibrant traditions, cultural richness and a sense of community. Fab India, a brand known for its commitment to celebrating India’s rich heritage, is excited to present a unique and culturally resonant packaging concept for sarees worn during Durga puja. The five different packaging designs portray the five main days of Durga Puja (Shashthi, Shaptami, Ashtami, Navami and Dashami). We have aimed to create a packaging that not only protects and presents the saree beautifully but also enhances the festive experience. This design serves as a tribute to Goddess Durga by incorporating traditional motifs, colours, patterns and elements which are synonymous to the festival.

Structure Design

Sarees are usually packed in rectangular boxes. However, we came up with a new design idea in which the box would be cylindrical in form with flaps for opening. We also added a surprise element in the box- as you open the box, shiuli flowers will glide out of the box and a warm greeting of the season would be given to the user. Then it would be opened again to retrieve the saree. Thus it would have a double layered opening.
